The Doerenkamp-Zbinden Foundation is a founding member and one of the main sponsors of ALTEX, supporting the publication of three journals: ALTEX, ALTEX Proceedings, and TIERethik.

ALTEX (Alternatives to Animal Experimentation) is an international scientific journal focused on the development and use of alternatives to animal testing. It emphasizes the principle of the “3Rs” (Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement) and publishes research and innovations that advance more ethical and progressive science.

The journals are published by the non-profit organization ALTEX Edition, based in Switzerland.
